Tomorrow it is a girlfriend's birthday and she is a non fussy person. There was an idea for a CAS card in Australian Simply Cards magazine that I liked involving a negative punched layer with a flower, and I thought that might be a good way to go for this particular friend. I didn't have the exact supplies they used in their card so just substituted everything Stampin' Up!
I can show this to you without a worry because I know my friend does not blog, and she already has her card but she hasn't opened it. Yet.
I thought I would stick with a monochrome look for this one after being influenced by the White with One challenge. Lol! I just used Blushing Bride, Illuminate and Whisper White inks, cardstocks and retired designer series paper. You may be able to see the Illuminate stamping on the card front? It is more visible in real life.
I clear embossed the sentiment. Then I wrote inside the card with a Stampin' write marker in Blushing Bride.
The final touch was to use Dazzling Details on some of the flower centres but a rhinestone on the main flower.
When it came to decorating the envelope, I splashed out and used Pink Pirouette and Strawberry Slush inks.
The stamp sets I used were Apothecary Art and Flower Shop ones. I used a retired flower and the Boho Blossom punches.
Can't wait for my new goodies to arrive! Stampin' Up! says they are shipped :) Woo hoo!
